Drive is in great condition, great build quality, only used to backup. Not ran on a regular basis. Power supply etc included. Make me an offer via e mail or private message.

has someone already made you an offer on this thing?
I'm interested in it but I'm not sure how much to offer.
i thought maybe 100 but maybe that's too much?
Too little?
Ugg.
Just let me know

100 is too much to offer for a used 500 gig drive without any warranties towards the drive's performance. You can buy a brand-new hard drive, sealed packaging, warranty included, etc for 100 bucks, possibly even less.

Examples from Tiger Direct:
500 GB capacity/16 MB cache, fanless Phantom Titanium Drive with USB 2.0 and Firewire: $99.99.
500 GB capacity/16 MB cache, Beyond Micro drive with USB 2.0: $89.99.

arg
Get with the future and look for e.s.a.t.a
Forget USB, especially if you are transfering 1+gb at a time :P
It took me like... over 5 hours to transfer 350gb over USB 2.0, *sigh*

Not all of us have the motherboard/slots for ESATA. I, for one, don't have ESSATA ports on my computer and I'm not gonna buy an add-on card just for ESATA, either. Most often, you spend 20 bucks to 40 bucks to get but 2 or 3 ESATA ports. I'd rather use USB. Slower, sure, but why do you really need blazing speed anyway? I can also get Firewire 800, but that comes at a premium. And, again, I can't see a reason to require all that speed, especially since your hard drive probably won't really benefit from that extra bandwidth unless it's a 10,000 RPM drive.
Us regular consumers are rather happy with USB, I think. If nothing else, the numbers say so.

USB works just fine, any of the hard drives mentioned above work good, buy.com also has a lot of 250 og 500gb hard drives, I'd take the 500 ones. Don't worry about ESATA, sure, you may only take 20 mins instead of an hour and a half to transfer your files (and that is only if you have, may be 3 or 4000 files to transfer) but I've never felt the disadvantage, for one thing the motherboard, front side bus or hard drive itself can become a bottle neck so the ESATA thing may not work for you at all, a system is only as fast as its slowest component.

Wow. I'll have to try this tiger direct. We went to target yeserday, and I saw a 500 gig external for 120 bucks. But, if I can get 'em cheaper at that site, definitly gonna try it. I just need something to run my FTP off of, so I can stop using my jump drive as a FTP, and winamp's music user for shoutcast, as my hard dirve isn't big enough, and if I put alll the files on it, I'll have maybe 100 megs free on the drive.
